The Discover Putney Council list is now open to the general public!

Putney has several lists already set up for special interest groups, the list for The Discover Putney Council is specifically dedicated to keeping you informed about news and events in Putney and the immediate region.

You can choose whether you want to be on the list and receive mail from the list or not. Once you submit your e-mail address to be on this list you will automatically receive all the announcements and other email posted to the list.

This list is not moderated, in an un moderated list any subscriber may post to the list and discuss events.

A list server is a system designed to distribute messages to lists of individuals.

Q. What are the benefits of being on the list serve?
1) Staying in touch and knowing what is happening in Putney, or what is going to happen in Putney.

2) The list serve allows us all to share information with friends, neighbors, and visitors to our community.

3) Privacy! The mail addresses (of the members) on the list serve are never distributed in bulk (or stored in someone's address book) which could be used by a virus to spread itself.
Individuals may post to the group but the server does the distribution of the email to the group.
